A numerical simulation of a tidal current on a tidal flat

摘要
In estuary a tidal flat is an important constituent due to characteristic flow and water quality and eco-system. In this study, we proposed a new method for tidal current simulation that aims at emergence and submergence phenomena in tidal flat. On the occasion of proposing of this method, several past methods for simulation of tide and tsunami run-up were researched. Further, our method and those representative methods were compared through a test computation. As a result, a significant result was obtained as to a change of computed water level and a conservation of water volume. By applying our method, a computation of the flow on tidal flat and a particular shallow area would be effectively carried out.
