摘要：
In India, Swertia-chirata Buch-Ham, commonly known as chirataya is used as a crude drug reported in Indian pharmacopoeia. One new compound characterized as nonacosanylhentriacontanoate 1 has been isolated from the aerial parts of Swertia chirata (Gentianaceae). Besides, two compounds stigmasterol 4 and 1,5-dihydroxy-3-methoxyxanthone-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside 2 have been isolated for the first time. During the chemical investigation of different extracts ten known compounds have also been isolated from Swertia chirata.
