Ownership structure and firm performance: An empirical analysis of listed firms in China

摘要：
In this paper, we use the panel data of Chinese listed companies from the year 2000 to 2004 to investigate the relationship between ownership structures and the firms' performances in China. Through establishing a panel data regression model, we find no significant relationship between the firms' performances and their ownership structures. Thus, I think on the aspect of policy constitutions about the enterprise reform, what we should do is not simply copying the experience and methods in the western countries or some transitional ones, but also considering some effective measures on the basis of Chinese own characteristics.
