摘要
Automatic Meter Reading is a new technology which is applied to data acquisition. transmission and processing to water. power. and gas' supply and management. This paper introduces a data terminator designed for wireless automatic meter reading system based on MC35i GPRS module, which can switch communications mode between GPRS and SMS. As GPRS supports TCP/IP protocol. it can make wireless data transmission convenient by access to Internet and by a kind of protocol to finish the date reading work. The communication of protocol of this system is given out. A modification suggestion on PPP dial-up progress is proposed and the whole Structure of hardware and software of the equipment is described. The MSP430F149 is selected as the core component of this platform. which can decrease the system's power consumption, increase the terminal's reliability.
