The synthesis of aldehydes and ketones by the dehydrogenation of allylic and secondary alcohols using a Raney-Ni-Al(i-OPr)(3)-Al2O3 catalyst without hydrogen acceptors is presented. (C) Central European Science Journals. All rights reserved.
