Band structure and Fermi surface of CeB6 studied by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy

摘要
We report high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy on CeB6 to study the electronic band structure and the Fermi surface. We observed several dispersive bands located at E-F-6 eV binding energy, which are attributed to the B 2p and Ce 5d states. We found a large ellipsoidal electronlike Fermi surface centered at X points in the cubic Brillouin zone relevant to the quadrupolar ordering in CeB6. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
