摘要
This research incorporates mode interference into the weakly nonlinear analysis of sandbar growth, to improve explanation of the mode reduction process in sandbar formation. The study attempts to clarify the degree of the interference. Introduction of linear amplication into the nonlinear analysis model made it possible to examine alternate bars and double-row bars on the same order. The analysis used hydraulic conditions with large width/depth ratio in which double-row bars form. Although it did not accurately reproduce the quantitative results of the experiments, this analysis was able to explain the qualitative characteristics of the reduction process, in which sandbars of both modes cannot simultaneously occur.
