Structural damage detection by ETDR method and wavelet analysis of the measured signals

摘要：
The application of electrical time domain reflectometry (ETDR) techniques in health monitoring of structures is investigated. Numerical simulation and experimental research are carried out to examine the validity of this method in detecting damage induced conductivity or dielectric constant change in concretes. Wavelet analysis is introduced to determine the arriving time of the reflected signals. The localization accuracy of ETDR is greatly improved by using this approach.
