Simulation of autonomous DCVs for baggage handling at airports

摘要：
The test of a new control concept for a baggage handling system at airports requires a simulation. For transport of baggage items between check-in counters, chutes for loading bags into containers and loading stations for arriving baggage Destination Coded Vehicles (DCVs) are used. They travel on tracks and carry each a single baggage item. With the simulation a novel control structure with DCVs roaming autonomously in the network without any centralized control entity is tested.
