摘要
Human resource is the most important asset to create competitive advantage for every company including hotel sector. One of main problem in hotel is high level of employee turnover. Average level of employee turnover in five-star hotel in Java Island showed an increasing trend with rates exceeding 10% that can be categorized as high level of turnover. Hotel sector should minimize employee turnover by identify and manage the rate of turnover intentions and retain a group of employees who are able to demonstrate a high level of performance. The purpose of this research is to identify about factors that led to the emergence of turnover intentions and also produce turnover intentions model for five-star hotel in Java Island, Indonesia. Respondent consist of 189 employees who are working in five-star hotels in six provinces on the island of Java. Those provinces are Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and Yogyakarta. Data processing is done in three phases in a qualitative study where in first phase is data reduction, second phase is data display and third phase is conclusions or verification. The result from data processing found some variables that are considered as cause of employee turnover intentions, it consists of talent management, the role of the HR department, work-life conflict and employee job satisfaction.
