摘要
We report a highly efficient, high-power Nd:YVO4 master oscillator power amplifier. A diode-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 acoustic-optic Q-switch laser was employed as the master oscillator, and was amplified by a diode-end pumped double-pass Nd:YVO4 amplifier, yielding a 36.9 W output in 25.1 ns pulses at the frequency of 100 kHz with an extraction efficiency of 44.5%. The beam quality is less than 1.4 at the maximum power. The double-pass Nd:YVO4 amplifier is an effective way to achieve high power and efficiency.
