摘要
Fourier transformation is a remarkable signal processing tool which made, and is still making, a significant impact on data processing approaches in a variety of scientific and biomedical applications. Especially important roles have been played by the fast algorithms of the Fourier transform, enabling many complex signal processing algorithms to become feasible, for practical clinical applications. In this contribution, we demonstrate the impact of the Fourier based approaches on the reconstruction and data processing methods used in fully three dimensional Positron Emission Tomography.
