Diffusion model of an airlift three-phase catalytic reactor and scale-up

摘要
A model of an airlift three-phase catalytic reactor is developed for cases of interphase mass transfer between the gas and the liquid in an airlift pipe and a catalytic reaction at the interface between the liquid. and catalyst particles. The model equations give the vertical distribution of the average concentration of the active gaseous component (oxygen) in the gas and liquid phases and the average concentration of the active liquid component (alcohol) using the average velocities in the airlift and drain pipes. The model proposed solves the problem of the scale effect. A hierarchical approach is proposed to determine the model parameters from experimental data.
