We designed and fabricated a new uniaxial pressure device for doing resistivity measurements under uniaxial pressure at a high-temperature region (300K-800K). This uniaxial pressure device was tested with La0.95Sr0.05MnO3 and we have measured the resistivity in the temperature region (400K-700K). We found the drastic variation in the John-Teller Distortion by increasing the pressure and this may be due to the increase in disorder in the structure. The disorder increases due to non-uniform variation of Mn-O bond length in the structure.
