A survey of 3D reconstruction algorithms from 2D images

摘要
Constructing a three-dimensional (3D) model of scene from a set of two-dimensional (2D) images is a challenging problem in computer vision and artificial intelligence. Solving this visual reconstruction problem has many applications ranging from medical imaging, robot navigation, virtual reality to video games. In this paper a survey of different 3D object reconstruction methods are presented. The methods are: Structure From Motion (SFM), shape-from-silhouette, voxel-coloring, evidence grids and vaxiational methods.
