Total solar spectral irradiance measured in France during a stratospheric balloon flight

摘要
In October 1998 we have flown a further SIMBA (Solar Irradiance Monitoring by Balloons) experiment from Aire sur 1'Adour in Southern France. The payload of the stratospheric balloon gondola consists of absolute radiometers, sunphotometers (SPM) and newly developed precision filter radiometers (PFR). The absolute radiometers are used to check the performance of the VIRGO absolute radiometer and the SPM are needed mainly to recalibrate the SPM from the VIRGO experiment onboard the spacecraft SOHO (Solar and Heliospheric Observatory), which show an important degradation. The PFR are used within the Global Atmosphere Watch Programme for aerosol optical depth evaluations for which the extraterrestrial values are determined.
