摘要
Czechoslovakia recieved to influence of soviets owing to World War II. New political, social and religious conditions negatively affected life of Church in society in many ways. The most oppressed by totalitarian regime was the Greek-catholic Church. Other Churches were set free and they were under control of state, but Greek-catholic Church was administratively liquidated. By reason of social-political changes in Czechoslovakia after the World War II. and mainly after the communistic coup in 1948 the Church got into hard and difficult situation. Totalitarian communist regime after wards stuck all rangers of social life, especially negatively the Greek-catholic Church life. The personality of bishops Pavol Peter Gojdic and Vasil' Hopko, proved very important moment in that heated times, because despite of pressure he abided the God and the Church as great example for bis priests and believers in times when Church was oppressed.
