摘要
New chiral Mannich bases have been synthesized on the basis of 1 -(-)-menthol, dialkylamines (diethylamine, dipropylamine, dibutylamine, dipentylamine) and formaldehyde. The physical-chemical data of the synthesized compounds have been determined. The composition and structure of the purposeful products have been confirmed by methods of elemental analysis, IR, NMR H-1 and C-13 spectroscopy. The synthesized compounds have optical activity and rotate the polarized light to the left. The synthesized compounds possess high antibacterial and antifunginal activity in relation to microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and yeast-like fungi of genus of Candida in comparison with control drugs widely used in medical practice. The minimum inhibiting concentration and the minimum bactericidal concentration of the obtained compounds in relation to some of the above-mentioned microorganisms have been also determined. It has been shown that they are more effective antimicrobial substances than medical drugs used now
