摘要
This paper reports the results of the data analysis of the course evaluation of a 120-hour information technology training course for serving primary school teachers commissioned by the Education Department of the HKSAR. The purpose of this paper, as an initial study, is to examine the relationships among computer attitudes, prior computer experience and knowledge, teaching experience, and course satisfaction of teachers participating in the course, and to discuss the implications for improving the training course for serving teachers. The results of this study suggest that: (1) the aim of the teacher training course should emphasize on the development of positive attitudes towards computer, (2) the curriculum of the teacher training course should foster self-initiated learning, and (3) the training course should focus on improving the connection between course content and school process, providing a cooperative learning context and promoting collaboration among teachers with different backgrounds in computer experience and teaching experience.
