摘要
As far as investment cost is concerned, a cable is a very representative power transmission system that is included in the asset management by priority. Of them, XLPE cable, which was introduced to Korea in 1980, has been on the increase since 1995. As XLPE cables whose design life gets close to 30 years (expiration period) increased gradually in quantity as of 2022, it has come a time to draw up a plan for economically favored operation and replacement through systematic history management and quantitative status diagnosis. To draw a bathtub curve that KEPCO uses to diagnose the status of cables, we planned a test on the lifetime of the XLPE model cable by accelerated degradation and proposed a new method of estimating the life in a short time through an empirical study.
