摘要
Advanced lightweight materials like laminated composite cylindrical shells and laminated plates are used in modern aerospace structures, military and automotive industries for enhancing their structural efficiency and performance. Such thin walled structures are defenseless against to buckling when subjected to static and dynamic compressive stresses. In this work, the Experimental and the numerical (finite element analysis) analysis on buckling loading conditions of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) layered composite plates was analyzed. Here different geometric sections are considered for analysis of buckling load namely composite plate with and without hole. These analyses were carried out by using ANSYS 15.0 software with further experimental observations on buckling testing on composite plates. Finally the Experimental observation is compared with Numerical analysis. (c) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
