New records and new synonyms for the southern South American moss flora

Pottia intermedia (Turn.) Furnr, and Pseudocrossidium hornschuchianum (Schultz) R.H. Zander are reported as new for South America, Chenia leptophylla (Mull. Hal.) R.H. Zander and Orthotrichum diaphanum Schrad. ex Brid. var. podocarpi (Mull. Hal.) Lewinsky are reported as new for Chile, Breutelia masafuerae Broth. as new for the Chilean mainland and Amphidium lapponicum (Hedw.) Schimp, and Pohlia drummondii (Mull. Hal.) A.L. Andrews as new for Argentina. Dicranodontium schwabei Herzog & Ther, is regarded as synonymous with Chorisodontium aciphyllum (Hook.f. & Wilson) Broth. and Cryphaeophilum molle (Dusen) M. Fleisch. var. enerve Herzog with Cryphaeophilum molle (Dusen) M. Fleisch. A distribution map of Cryphaeophilum molle is presented.
