Distribution Network simulation method based on a combination of Dynamic Power-Flow Simulation and Electro-Magnetic Simulation

摘要
Nowadays the control and management of the distribution networks are gaining importance due to the increase of the distributed generation (DG) connected to this networks and the increased level of automation of them. Moreover, the distribution network operators (DNOs) are changing their operation method trying to optimize the network operation due to the directives of different governments boosting the energy efficiency. DNOs have to optimally control a network where there are generators and loads connected, so the control strategies have to change because until now the distribution network has been composed by loads and voltage control devices only. Therefore the simulation tools have to be able to simulate the power systems, integrating these new control strategies and distributed generators. In this paper a simulation method based on a numerical computational tool is proposed, that allows to simulate this distribution networks in a modular and simple way. This proposed method allows a simple implementation of different user defined controls as centralized voltage control, Fault detection isolation and service restoration (FDISR) control or optimal switching control. Finally, the proposed simulation method is verified by simulation in a test network.
