摘要
Due to overpopulation, and giant projects and cities, the demand for electricity extremely rises in order to keep up with needs. The smart grid is the modernized form of conventional grid which involves not only electric power flow, but also information as well. smart grids are seen as a best possible solution to increase the demand for distributed power generation, enhance power quality, and optimize operation and consumption. This paper focuses on the important role of smart grid as a modern configuration of electrical power grid, and the vital part of communication technologies in smart grid. Consequently, this paper will present, and compere between these technologies. The conclusion will be based on the comparison between all mentioned methods that will be appeared in this paper.
