摘要
The recent studies on the design, synthesis, characterization, and functionalization of poly(1,6-heptadiyne)-based materials as a new class of conjugated polymers are reviewed and explored. The heptadiyne, a nonconjugated diyne, is a very simple monomer and very susceptible to cyclopolymerization via an intramolecular-intermolecular chain propagation to give conjugated polymers having cyclic recurring units. The synthesis of π-conjugate cyclopolymers is a challenging task as evidenced by the fact that the synthesis of the most famous member of theses materials is possible by molecular design.
