摘要
A new procedure is proposed for identifying sources of water pollution with petroleum products using low-resolution spectra or chromatograms. The procedure is based on the probability theory and the pattern recognition theory. The procedure gives objective probabilistic estimates of the reliability of spectral profiles of petroleum products and their chromatograms obtained by thin-layer and liquid chromatography.
