By using experimental method and comparative analysis, health-related physical fitness as an indicator, this paper analyzed the impact of health-related physical fitness curriculum reform on 3,285 Han students of 19-22 years old from Yunnan University in 2005 and 2010. The results showed that three years of public sports reform improved their health-related fitness, especially in body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness and flexibility. However, the development of muscle strength and endurance was instable, in which upper body strength was improved, but lower limb strength and female waist muscle endurance weakened. Thus sport curriculum reform had significant impacts on students' cognition, behavior, habits and physical health. More focus should be given to the flexibility and fitness of muscles and energy of male college students.
