摘要
A university represents the ultimate knowledge organization. However, many researchers are not able to access to research activities within their own universities. This often leads to redundancy in areas of research as well as reduced innovation and productivity since they are not aware of the available expertise and resources that could greatly contribute to their own research endeavors. Knowledge management represents a systematic means of acquiring, sharing, using and storing knowledge effectively within an organization. The paper presents a knowledge management system framework to create collaborative and interactive social media for researchers in their research works. It is used to facilitate researchers' to do research and access to research materials and experts. It brings instantaneous and real-time knowledge and expertise to researchers. The framework has been implemented in MyGRANTS project to support all researchers in higher learning institutions in Malaysia. Sixty (60) universities in Malaysia are taking part in the implementation of MyGRANTS. It is found that a collaborative knowledge creation and sharing can be supported by MyGRANTS system and it empowers them to adapt to increasing complexities of knowledge and research society.
