In this paper we consider the following boundary value problem (p(t)(x')' = f(t,x,x'), x(0) = 0, x'(1) = integral(1)(0) x'(s) dg(s), where f : [0, 1] x R-k x R-k -> R-k and the integral is meant in the sense of Riemann-Stieltjes. We give conditions for the existence of a solution for this boundary value problem using the properties of the Leray-Schauder topological degree. Our result extends some results in the references.
