摘要
The fibres in peat set its mechanical behaviour apart from more common geomaterials, but as long as dedicated models are not developed, peat will have to be tackled with models developed e.g. for clay. In the past it was found that the isotropic time-dependent Soft Soil Creep model could be successfully used to determine deformation and strength of embankments on peat, and an elaborate procedure was developed to determine the necessary parameters from an oedometer test. Here, the further development of this model, in which the anisotropy is included, is evaluated for its usefulness for peat.
