AC losses of Ag-doped YBCO superconductors

AC losses of Ag-doped YBCO superconductors were measured. It is found that the ac losses of Ag-doped YBCO can be well described by Bean model when H > H-cl. When the applied field H < H-cl, the ac losses will decrease with appropriate increase of Ag-doped content. When H > H-cl, the ac losses will increase with the increase of Ag. The critical current density J(c) is also studied. There is a better combination feature of the ac losses with the critical current density Jc between 4wt% and 6wt% of the content of Ag.
