摘要
Vision-based techniques for advanced monitoring of industrial systems is gaining more attention recently. A good example is the use of cheap low frame rate cameras in combination with strobing light to non-intrusively measure high frequency vibrations. At the same time, we see an uprise of Visible Light Communication (VLC), particularly for indoor usage. In this paper, we bridge the gap between these two concepts and propose an integrated communication and sensing system based on strobing light. Our system can reproduce the same signal envelope while VLC is in operation, thus, hiding communication from the camera-based sensing. We explored the performance of the system using a GNURadio implementation. Our results demonstrate the huge potentials of this integrated communication and sensing concept.
