Synthesis and biological activity of high-molecular N-glycosides

摘要
A new synthetic approach to high molecular N-glycosides has been developed on the basis of radical polymerization of vinyl-containing N-glycosides. Homo- and copolymers derived from N-(D-glucopyranosyl)-, N-(D-mannopyranosyl)-, and N-(L-rhamnopyranosyl)-4-vinylaniline have been synthesized and characterized. It has been found for the first time that polymeric N-glycosides exhibit antibacterial and immunomodulatory activity.
