The domain structure which takes place in the phases surrounding a reconstructive phase transition is discussed,Three different examples belonging to distinct classes of reconstructive transitions are considered: 1)Transitions between crystal structures, 2)Crystal-Quasicrystals, 3)The lamellar-cubic transition in complex fluids.
