摘要
Distortion of reconstructed image from reflection hologram recorded with a slit is analyzed. A sharp and deep image is obtained from large longitudinal angle when the hologram is illuminated with a vertically extended white-light line source. The observed image is, however, distorted depending on the position of observation except the position where the slit was placed in the recording process. The distortion for the reflection hologram recorded with a slit is due to the difference between the reconstructed wavelength and the original recording wavelength. The reconstructed wavelength that depends on the viewing points should be satisfied with the Bragg condition and determines the focus point of the image. Thus, viewing points affect the distortion of the reconstructed image. The authors found that the distortion of the reconstructed image observed at front position is larger than that at the rear position. The analysis is experimentally verified, and quality image is obtained at a certain viewing points. The possibility and limitation of applying the hologram to holographic display are also discussed.
