Arthroscopic management of patellar tendinitis

Both an original technique for the arthroscopic management of patellar tendinitis, namely debridement of the typically degenerated ventral tendon surface at its proximal insertion and abrasion of the usually chondritic inferior pole, and its application in a series of 40 athletes are described. The very satisfactory outcome of this method can be judged from the fact that all 27 subjects evaluated after a minimum follow-up of six months had resumed their sports.
