Materials from foreign musicians in the manuscript department of the Russian National Library include autograph materials by Bach, Cherubini, Mendelssohn, Berlioz, Liszt, Meyerbeer, and many others. The present article presents information from library documents revealing the history of the acquisition of foreign musicians' individual manuscripts.
