摘要
Aminomethylation of Schiff bases (3a-j) with formaldehyde and a primary/secondary amine furnished corresponding Mannich bases (4a-d) and (5a-j). The newly synthesized Mannich bases were characterized on the basis of IR, NMR and Mass spectral data. Synthesized compounds were tested for their antibacterial,activity. Some of them showed promising antibacterial activity.
