摘要：
Thomas hardy, in the novel Tess of the d'Urbervilles, depicted a brave, beautiful and innocent woman Tess. Tess's inevitable tragic fate was caused by the multiple-environment and multiple-personality. Thomas hardy, the great British writer of Victoria in the late 19th century revealed industrial capitalism's evil. The intrusion of capitalist relations caused a brave, beautiful and innocent woman Tess into the tragic fate by a pure woman's tragedy. Tess of the d'Urbervilles shows Tess in dire straits step by step, shows an honest woman swallowed by various forces natural environment, social environment and multiple personalities, which also contribute collectively to poor Tess's destiny.
