摘要
In this paper, we consider a mixed Rayleigh and Exponentiated Weibull (EW) Dual-Hop communication scheme where the links between the source and the relay are radio-frequency (RF) links following Rayleigh fading while the link from the relay to the destination is a free-space optical (FSO) link experiencing EW distribution under weak-to-strong turbulence circumstance. On the study about the performance of the mixed system, we take the aperture averaging into account. More specifically, a new expression of the cumulative distribution function (CDF) is derived, and then use the result to offer an exact expression as well as an approximate for the outage probability. Furthermore, we analyzed the outage performance and diversity order in different turbulence strengths and receiver aperture sizes. The results show that the system performance can be improved significantly by the aperture averaging technique under different turbulence circumstances. In addition, the performance of the system is greatly affected by the parameters of alpha, beta and eta.
