摘要
Many methods for construction project logistics management have proposed by now, for instance, the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Just-In-Time (JIT) purchasing, the Last Planner System (LPS)...etc. But it is obviously unrealistic that a satisfactory result could be achieved by using any single method for so many different items and materials included in a construction project. To meet the real needs of construction projects, this paper propose a new model to manage the construction logistics. The new model integrates the Pareto rules, expanded EOQ and JIT purchasing approach. A highway construction project case study is provided to demonstrate how the new model can be applied to solve the practical problem.
