Power characteristics of metal-dielectric waveguides

摘要
The amplitude distribution and power of waves in the cross section of a metal-dielectric waveguide (MDW) containing a rectangular dielectric waveguide (RDW) and intermediate dielectric layers (IDLs) located between metal screens (MSs) are calculated. The layer permittivities are less than that of the RDW. The effect of redistribution of the power of waves between the waveguide and layers that causes frequency oscillations of powers is discovered. The influence of the distance to MSs and the IDL permittivity on the power distribution of waves in the MDW cross section is investigated.
