Selecting liquid coatings for pipeline repair and rehabilitation

Improving repair and rehabilitation coating performance extends the remaining tife of underground pipelines and helps to reduce life cycle costs. Mew pipelines often use factory-applied coatings that normally undergo high levels of quality control and are applied under controlled conditions. During installation, these factory-applied coatings may require repairs at holidays caused by handling and at weld joints. Once a pipeline system is in service, damage to the external coating may require repairs and rehabilitation coating systems. Selecting the "right" coating system for repairs and rehabilitation is discussed.
