摘要
Handoff will happen when mobile node movesbetween different networks. The resulting delay and packet loss problem is the key factor that affects mobile IPv6 handoff performance. An improved mobile IPv6 smooth handoff mechanism is proposed in this paper onthe basis of existing handoff methods. A decision engine-based dynamic distributed architecture is adopted in this mechanism, at last it verifies that using this new handoff scheme can reduce packet loss and handoff delay efficiently and improve handoff efficiency by doing simulation experiments.
