The characteristics of the heat transfer processes in a mini-scale channel of gallium flow under the influence of a transverse uniform magnetic field with a magnitude of 0.1 T are investigated numerically. The effect of the wall thermal boundary condition and the location of its application on the boundary are investigated by adopting three such boundary condition locations applied separately and in combination. Two values of Reynolds number are considered. Results show a clear impact of the induced electromagnetic force on the flow and heat transfer between gallium and the channel walls. The effect of the magnetic field on the flow and heat transfer increase with increasing the Reynolds number. The wall thermal boundary condition and the location of its application on the channel boundary have a great impact on the results.
