We report diode-pumped Er3+:Y2O3 ceramic laser with 14 W CW output at 2.7 mu m and similar to 26% slope efficiency. This is believed to be the highest power ever reported from Er3+-doped ceramic laser at this wavelength. (C) 2011 Optical Society of America
