摘要
Managers aim at creating receptive organisations, strong and resilient during an era when society undergoes constant changes. This purpose can be reached only by attracting and training qualified staff caring for performance at organisational and at personal level. The first part of the paper offers an overview on the type of learning needed for the professional development of the employees of an organisation and able to lead to performance according to the educational tendencies in human resources development (HRD). One of the main challenges of the manager consisted in the capacity to improve the development of the people they lead. Research shows that their abilities can be improved by learning within an efficient professional development programme, focused on the needs of the employees, being clear and transparent for establishing criteria and objectives. The chosen training programme must take into account the abilities to be improved, the costs of each method, the time allocated for learning and the motivation of the employees. In this context, a new technology in education consists in the online learning platforms given the flexibility of the learning opportunities, the different abilities which can be improved and the rather reduced costs. There have been identified many free online learning sources, some of the dedicated, other as collections of information which can be used in the educational processes. The online learning platforms have characteristics which facilitate the access to information such as friendly website navigation, search button by areas or selection by interest areas, initial information on the lecture, several presentation languages and the technological requirements are nor very high for the computer used for accessing the information. At the same time, the paper aims at identifying future development directions regarding the training of staff in various organisations in order to obtain higher performance.
