摘要
This paper studies the probability of packets being successfully received by vehicles (packet success probability) for chains of vehicles on a highway by taking multi-user interference, path loss, and fading into account. Our simulation results compare two scenarios, the case in which vehicles follow Poisson distribution and the case when the distance between any two adjacent vehicles is equal. This probability plays a main role in vehicles' collision probability; therefore, this mathematical framework to obtain packet success probabilities can be employed in designing the safety applications of vehicular ad hoc networks, especially the newly proposed customized vehicular communications.
