Research on Influence of Political Skill of Employees on Career Success: The Intermediary of Impression Management

摘要
Human resource management decisions will more or less be affected by the political behavior. When resources are limited, people may use political means, the consequent competition may affect personal career development. In this study, political skills is the main research object and the core, and the impression management is the intermediary variable. Through the questionnaire survey, the authors make an empirical study on the related content of the influence of political skill on career success, filling up the study vacancy. And the conclusions of the data analysis are as follows: political skills and its four dimensions of social astuteness, interpersonal influence, network ability, and apparent sincerity have significantly positive impact on subjective and objective career success;political skills and their four dimensions have a significantly positive impact on impression management; impression management has a significantly positive impact on subjective and objective career success; impression management plays an intermediary role between political skills and career success. In addition, through the empirical analysis and results, this study provides corresponding suggestions for improving workers' political skills to achieve career success.
