in this work, the method, in principle of the box complex algorithm was adopted to obtain coefficient of expression of EYS1.5 which is the elongation corresponding to 1.5 times yielding stress in stress-strain curve. In view of PET staple fibers with 1.56dtex, the relationship between EYS1.5 and spinning conditions including take-up velocity, annealed length, quench air velocity, quench air temperature, extrusion temperature and intrinsic viscosity was obtained. The spinning condition was optimized provided that the as-spun fibers experienced the same values of EYS1.5 and coefficient of variation(CV). The properties of other type staple fibers with 1.33dtex, 1.11dtex and 0.89dtex respectively, were also predicted and verified and the spinning conditions were optimized as well.
